BCECE 2020

BCECE 2020 (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) will be conducted by BCECEB (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board). It is a state-level examination through which candidates are offered admission into different undergraduate Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmacy and Health Science courses. Only qualifying candidates get admission into various government and private institutes located in Bihar. This exam is conducted every year to provide opportunities to a large no. of students.

BCECE 2020 Application Form:

Below are some steps involved in the application form-

  • The application form filling will be available from the second week of March 2020.

  • The BCECE registration will be done through online mode.

  • Candidates will be required to upload their scanned images of photograph and signature in the BCECE application form.

  • The board will also provide the facility to make correction in the application form.

  • Incomplete application will not be accepted by the board.

    BCECE 2020 Application fee:

Mode of Payment: Candidates can pay the fee through online mode. 

  • Fee payment can be done through Credit card/ Debit card or net banking. Candidate will also have to pay the processing fee.

  • Candidate can also pay the application fee through NEFT challan option.

BCECE 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

Detailed Eligibility criteria have been described below

  • General Eligibility (common for all)


  • Domicile: Candidates must be Indian citizen and domicile of Bihar state.

  • Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for BCECE examination.

  • Medical: Candidates who have selected for admission will have to go through the medical test.




  • Qualification Eligibility (Engineering Course)


  • Qualifying Exam: 10+2 or equivalent examination passed from any recognized board.

  • Percentage: Candidates must have secured 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates).

  • Subjects: Physics & Mathematics are compulsory subjects with any one of the Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology and technical vocational subject.


  • Qualification Eligibility (Pharmacy course)


  • Qualification exam: Candidate must have qualified 12th or equivalent exam.

  • Percentage: Minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying exam.

  • Subjects: Physics & Chemistry are compulsory subjects with any one of the mathematics & Biology.

BCECE 2020 Admit Card:

  • BCECE 2020 admit card will be released in the third week of April 2020. 

  • Candidates can download admit card through online mode.

  • Candidates must check all the details printed on the admit card. In case of any corrections, the candidate can contact the officials immediately.

  • Candidates will be required to attach their postcard size photograph & enter the required details in the format. 


  • Candidates will have to bring the admit card & other required documents at the exam centre.



BCECE 2020 Exam pattern:



Exam mode

Examination will be held in offline mode.


The paper will come in Hindi & English language.

Number of questions

There will be total 100 question from each subject,


1.5 hours will be provided for each section.


The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology & Agriculture science.

Total marks

The paper will be of 120 marks.

Marking scheme

For the right answer 4 mark will be allotted. While, 1 mark will be deducted for the incorrect answer.


BCECE 2020 Syllabus:

  • The BCECE syllabus will vary as per the courses opted by the candidates. Syllabus of BCECE exam will be asked as per the 12th level examinations. It will be released along with the information bulletin.

  • The examination will be conducted in two different days covering all the subjects of the examinations. 

  • The syllabus will contain topics from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Agricultural Science subjects.

BCECE 2020 Answer Key:

  • Once the examination will get over successfully, answer key will get uploaded on the official website.

  • Answer key will be released by BCECE.

  • Various institutes will be releasing their own answer keys so the students can refer to them as well.

  • The candidates will get more accurate answers from the answer key which will be declared officially.

  • The candidates will be able to download the authentic answer key once declared online.

  • The candidate can use both the keys to cross check if they have marked the correct answer in the exam or not and to estimate the total marks in the exam.

BCECE 2020 Result:

  • The result of BCECE 2020 will be declared in the third week of June 2020. 

  • Scorecard will be released after the declaration of the result.

  • It will be provided to students in the fourth week of June 2020.

  • Candidates can check their result by entering the Roll no & other necessary details.

  • On the basis of marks scored in the entrance test, a separate merit lists will be published for various groups

  • Tie breaking criteria will be applied if the candidates score the same marks.

BCECE 2020 Counselling:

  • Counselling process will be organized via online mode.

  • Counselling will start in third week of July 2020.

  • Candidates can participate in the counselling as per their rank.

  • The counselling process will include of various steps such as: 

  • Registration

  • Submission of choices 

  • Seat allotment 

  • Downloading of allotment letter and appearing at the reporting centre.

  • After the seat allotment, candidates will have to report to the allotted college on the
